Barry has been in the financial services industry since 1991, having had various roles as a pensions and investment adviser to working for both mortgage lenders and protection insurers as a Business Development Manager.
Barry is now the Compliance Officer here at Try ensuring that all advisers work within the rules governed by the regulator and ensuring that the network has the necessary rules, policies, procedures and systems are in place to make sure that the adviser process is not only compliant but user friendly for our network members too.
Barry prides himself on being accessible to the network members and happy to assist and guide wherever possible. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, his garden and supporting he advises the greatest football team in the world, Leeds United!
Martin has over 42 years’ experience in the mortgage and commercial lending markets working for both lenders and intermediaries, and is a founding director of Try Financial Ltd, and the Try Mortgage Network.
Passionate about his business and his team, and the need to provide them with the best business infrastructure possible to support their skills, abilities and ambitions.
Now living in South Derbyshire, he can be found in his spare time playing golf very badly and supporting Nottingham Forest. At least someone, he says, has to!
Clive has built his career around people, relationships, and growth. With a strong background in recruitment and experience running his own limited company, he understands what it takes to build businesses from the ground up and support individuals through meaningful career moves.
He has since brought that experience to Try Mortgage Network, where his focus is on helping grow the network by connecting with mortgage and protection advisers who are looking for the right environment to develop their businesses. Known for his approachable, straight-talking style, Clive is passionate about building genuine relationships and having honest conversations about growth, support, and long-term success.
Away from work, Clive comes from a strong rugby background and has spent time as a coach, something that has shaped his team-focused mindset and commitment to helping others perform at their best. When he’s not speaking with advisers, he can usually be found on the side of a rugby pitch or in the gym.
